UCR Marathon at Hatirjheel, Dhaka

On October 24, 2025, Hatirjheel in Dhaka was alive with the spirit of sportsmanship as the Ultra Camp Runner (UCR) organized a thrilling marathon event. The race featured three categories: a 7.5 km, a 15 km, and a 21 km marathon. This event attracted more than 2,000 enthusiastic runners from diverse backgrounds, all ready to test their endurance and enjoy the camaraderie.

Communication and Safety Support

The Amateur Radio Society Bangladesh (ARSB) played a crucial role as the official communication partner for the event. With over 15 licensed amateur radio operators and ARSB members stationed at various locations, they ensured seamless communication throughout the marathon. Equipped with VHF/UHF radios, these dedicated individuals provided vital support, particularly at hydrant points and for emergency ambulance services, ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants.
