Bangladesh Amateur Radio license Quest

On May 3, 2025, the Amateur Radio Society Bangladesh (ARSB) organized an informative event to prepare enthusiasts for the upcoming Amateur Radio Exam. Held at the Abacus Convention Center, Eskaton Garden Road in Dhaka, Bangladesh, the event was a collaborative effort supported by the Bangladesh Vespa Community (BVC), a leading and popular bike community.

Event Highlights

The event was attended by more than 60 participants, including 10 members from the BVC, all of whom were gearing up for the Amateur Radio Exam scheduled for May 9, 2025, conducted by the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC).

The event covered a variety of crucial topics, including:

  • Amateur Radio Operation and Licensing: Participants learned about the fundamentals of operating an amateur radio, the licensing process, and the essential dos and don’ts.
  • Exam Preparation: Guidance was provided on effectively preparing for the exam and obtaining a license.
  • Live Demonstrations: There were live demonstrations showcasing different components and devices created by amateur radio operators, offering a hands-on experience.

The event featured several distinguished speakers who shared their insights and experiences:

  • Mr.Didarul Islam Sujan, the admin of the Bangladesh Vespa Community, emphasized the significance of amateur radio in volunteer communities, especially during times of disaster.
  • Mr. Shamsul Huda (S21HD), concluded the session with a presentation on his voluntary activities, highlighting the role of amateur radio in community service.

  • Nazrul Islam (S21NZ)
  • Mufid Islam (S21IM)
  • Zubayer Al Billal Khan (S21BK)
  • Ishraque Bin Shafique (S21BP)
  • Kawsar Mohammad (S21KV)

Additionally, other ARSB club members such as ARK Ripon (S21ARK) and Tahsin Rahman Abir (S21IT) also participated in the live session, adding valuable insights.

The event concluded with a group photo session, leaving participants inspired and better prepared for the upcoming exam. It reinforced the importance of amateur radio in fostering community resilience and volunteerism.
