Pantonix Tiger Run 2025: Raising Awareness for the Sundarbans

On July 26, 2025, the much-anticipated Pantonix Tiger Run will take place at Hatirjheel, Dhaka. This event features a 7.5 km marathon designed for men, women, and children. The primary goal of the marathon is to raise awareness about the preservation of the Sundarbans, the world’s largest mangrove forest and the habitat of the endangered Bengal tiger (Panthera tigris tigris). More than 900 participants joined the events.

The Sundarbans is a vital ecosystem that faces numerous threats, including deforestation, climate change, and rising sea levels. Protecting this fragile environment is essential to safeguarding the unique flora and fauna it supports. The Pantonix Tiger Run aims to highlight the importance of these conservation efforts and encourage community involvement in environmental protection.

Key ARSB Members and Their Roles

  • S21ARK: Coordinating portable stations at various locations.

  • S21IT, S21ED, S21RAB: Providing car support for communication and logistics.

  • S21CA, S21BRO, S21KV, S21NZ: Responsible for water points , vehicle support & Control station

  • Arju and Nabil: Offering additional support at water points and in vehicles.

Event Schedule

  • Start Time: 5:30 AM

  • End Time: 9:00 AM

The marathon will commence and conclude at the scenic Hatirjheel area. Traffic control during the event will be managed by both the police and amateur radio operators, ensuring a safe and organized experience for all participants.
