
Amateur Radio Society of Bangladesh (ARSB) is a non-profit organization, founded in 2018, with a community of young and professional amateur radio enthusiasts. It has established the urgent need to spread out the practice of this fundamental but effective communication system for emergency situation (i.e. natural disasters) and to deliver technological knowledge to the future generation. The emergence of this organization is realized when other HAM radio organizations’ activities were becoming rare. ARSB immediately act to reconnect the bridge between experienced and young amateur radio operators through arranging training workshops, on-field emergency communication drills, experience sharing and awareness programs, DX’ing activities, establishing long-range repeater system with Echolink facility, amateur satellite activities, etc. ARSB is also working to introduce young amateurs to international contests and prepare itself to provide the best voluntary communication support to the nation’s emergency.
